On Friday the 9th November Year 3/4 had a French Day. The day started with a French breakfast. Children were offered the chance to sample French breakfast foods. The children had to order their breakfast in French. We enjoyed practising our French words and think we improved lots! The classroom was decorated with red, white and blue balloons, the colours of the tricolore.

After lunch, we had some French party games and songs to learn some new words. We learnt about some French customs and geography. We then had a quiz with prizes. It was very exciting! Then at the end of the day Mrs Gofton judged the poster competition. For our homework we had to use our knowledge of information texts to design a poster encouraging people to visit France. There were some super entries. Scott Thompson was the winner, but everyone got a treat for entering.
