Students studying Drama at Gateshead college came into school on Tuesday the 12th of January to perform two of the key stage one children's favourite books; The Gruffalo, and The Gruffalos child. The Drama students adapted both books, written by Julia Donaldson, into short 15 minute plays. The students not only acted the parts of the woodland creatures but, created their own sets and sound effects using only themselves! The children enjoyed the experience and we all hope they will come back and perform another one of our favourite books very soon!
