Year 3/4 Sushi
As part of our geography project, we have been looking at how climate and relief affect a traditional diet. Sushi comes from Japan. Traditionally Japanese people eat a lot of fish, as they are surrounded by sea - just like us in the UK.
We were really careful to clean the work bench first - in Design Technology we have been learning about how to keep food safe. It is VERY important to stop bacteria getting on to our food - it can make us really ill.
We made our Sushi from mackerel, salmon and tuna.
Unfortunately, the instructions on the packet of sushi rice very confusing. However, we managed to make some delicious sushi. We decided to make some much more useful instructions in our Literacy lessons. We produced some fantastic pieces of writing - some of the pieces even got awards from Mrs Gofton! Look out for publication of these on the website. Maybe you could have a go at making sushi!
