Sing a-long!
On Friday the 14th of March children from across the school took part in an annual 'Sing a-long' held at the Dryden Centre. Mr Barker, who visits the school weekly to teach singing and music, runs his own choir made up of children from across our school, the youngest children are in year two. The choir have been practicing 12 songs for a number of weeks. They had to work very hard as not only did they have to learn all the words but the actions too!
All the children enjoyed singing songs they loved with hundreds of other children from different schools. It was really interesting watching solo performances from other children, but very nerve wracking performing our own solo song; 'A day at Saltwell Park' written by Lauren Smith in year 6. It went really well and everybody loved it!
A very exciting story teller kept everyone amused singing and telling loads of differnet stories throughout the day.
Everyone Had a great day! Mrs Etherington, Miss Marsh and Mr Barker would just like to say thankyou to Jade and Jake Nagg's mam, and Amy Radfords mam for coming with us and keeping us safe all day!
