Newcastle United Poetry Competition

It's "KICK RACISM OUT OF FOOTBALL" week! Just to let everyone know that Year 5/6 have been taking part in a poetry competition organised by the "Newcastle United in the Community" project. We have been researching racism in football and all the children wrote a poem based on our research and the aim of kicking racism out of football. The winner will be chosen in the next few days and the poem will be posetd on here, it will then go on to be judged against poems by other children in a variety of Gateshead schools; with the winning poem being read aloud in front of 52 000 people at St James' Park!! Watch this space!!
