Autumn Walk
This week the children have been looking for signs of Autumn and making Autumn collections. They have also had the opportunity to listen to the sounds of crunching leaves, the wind blowing through the trees, as well as various other environmental sounds. The morning chldren also saw a squirrel running around our Reception garden. Back in the classroom the children have been examining their collections and doing leaf rubbings and leaf prints. The children thoroughly enjoyed their outing and this experience.
European Day
The children were learning a little bit about the French cutlure by tasting French stick, Brie and Croissants. They also learnt how to say My name is....... in French.
Music lessons
The morning children, have been having music lessons on a Wednesday morning with a specialist teacher who provides children with the opportunity to experience Language Development, Mathematical Development, Physical , Creative, Pesonal, Social and emotional Development through music. The children really enjoy these sessions and we are hoping to provide the afternoon children with the same opportunity at the beginning of next year.
