Spots at The Drive on Children in Need Day

Today we had a non-uniform day at school with pupils and staff donating money to Children in Need. A penny trail will take place this afternoon. We will let you know how much we raise and an huge thank you to all those pupils who came covered in spots!

Comenius cooking

Pupils in Year 3 and Year 5 worked with Nick the chef from Cooking 4 life on Tuesday to research, cook, then taste a savoury and dessert dish fom our local area. These recipes are going to be included in a joint Comenius Cook book to be published in March 2012. Then we can try cooking savoury or a dessert dish from Lithuania, Estonia. Greece or Portugal ! Meeting Korky Paul at Felling Library

On Wednesday we went to Felling Library to meet Korky Paul. Year 4 also went. We enjoyed finding out all about his work as an illustrator. He showed us how he came up with his ideas.

Superhero party in Year 2

European Day of Languages

Today we all celebrated European Day of Languages. Reception studied French, Year 1 studied Italian, Year 2 studied Spanish, Year 3 studied Gaelic, Year 4 studied Greek, Year 5 studied German and Year 6 studied Portugese. Pupils also found out alittle bit about each country and tasted food from it.

Year 4 P.E. days

The children in Year 4 have come back to school after a really enjoyable summer and have been finding out about what will be happening every day at school. They will have P.E. every Monday and Friday afternoon and it is really important that they have their P.E. kits with them. While the weather is still ok, some lessons may still take place outside. Please make every effort to ensure children come to school with the correct kit.
